Help grow the Toronto Pickleball Club organization
The Toronto Pickleball Club is a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization led by an Executive Board and passionate volunteers. We are always seeking individuals eager to contribute their skills, time, and energy to help us grow and thrive. If you have strong communication abilities, prior experience on a board or in volunteering, and can commit 8-10 hours per week, we encourage you to explore our volunteer opportunities.
Whether you’re interested in supporting on the pickleball court, serving on a committee, or even joining our Board, we welcome individuals from all backgrounds. Many roles offer a blend of remote and in-person tasks, allowing flexibility based on your availability and strengths. Social Media Assistant
We are looking for an individual to manage our social media accounts. Responsible for helping build Toronto Pickleball Club’s online presence. Working in partnership with other volunteers/board members in promoting TPC and its community.
Responsibilities
Creating/designing and scheduling original content for all TPC social media platforms
Monitoring all social media content and tracking performance
Increasing engagement and web traffic; increase SEO
Providing insights and ideas to the Board on creating engagement with current and potential members
Responding to feedback (comments, DMs, etc)
Building TPCs media library (e.g. photos, content, hashtags).
Promote TPC aligned with its vision and goals, ensuring posts are inclusive and accessible for all
Qualifications/Skills
Creative and marketing background is an asset
Ability to create content in the form of text, images and videos
Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (FB, IG, etc)
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Time commitment estimated up to 8-10 hrs/week
Possible attendance at TPC events required
On-Site Convenors
Individuals interested in facilitating the organization of in-person events. Representing the Toronto Pickleball Club at open houses, drop-in sessions and/or leagues.
Responsibilities
Partnering with venues if necessary
Court set up and take down of pickleball nets and taping of the kitchen line
Checking attendance of members and collecting membership fees
Organization of play across courts to ensure fair play and the safety of all
Representing TPC in a professional manner
Reporting back to the Board regarding any feedback/concerns post event
Qualifications/Skills
Knowledge of Pickleball
Strong communication/social skills
Can commit to at least 3 hours per event/session
Punctual and reliable
Sponsorship & Fundraising
Looking for strong writers interested in helping with applying for fundraising and grants. As a not for profit, TPC is looking for individuals in helping with sourcing funding.
Responsibilities
Researching and identifying funding opportunities relevant to TPC
Compiling findings and creating recommendations to the Board/President
Writing and submitting letters of intent, proposals and/or applications to possible leads
Reaching out to local community organizations/companies for sponsorship/partnership with TPC
Managing new and current relationships with sponsors/partners
Collaborate with the Treasurer and other Board Members regarding financial goals
Reviewing current and future documentation (meeting minutes, etc)
Qualifications/Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent knowledge of fundraising information sources
Exceptional organizational and writing skills
Background in grant writing is an asset.
Time commitment estimated 10-12 hours/week
Director-at-Large
Duties to be determined as needed. To assist the organization through a multitude of tasks as TPC grows and leadership needs arise.
Responsibilities
Understanding of TPC’s mission and vision
Serve in the best interest of TPC and its members
Attend directors meetings as needed
Attend in-person events as needed
Qualifications/Skills
Strong communication skills
Experience on a Board a strong asset
Desire to support a growing organization and flexibility to meet fluctuating needs
Time commitment up to 8-12 hours/week
